PE bumpcaps are light protective caps that have passed CE standard tests, designed to help reduce the impact of accidental collisions on the wearer’s head. Made from durable PE material, they provide everyday head protection in workplaces where there is a risk of bumping into fixed objects such as beams, shelves or equipment.
With their lightweight design, PE bumpcaps are more comfortable to wear for extended periods compared with traditional safety helmets. Manufactured in Taiwan with stable quality, they are suitable for warehouses, logistics centers, assembly lines and other low-risk industrial environments where bump protection is required.
Bump caps are light in weight and comfortable for long-term wear. When you move your body or bend over and raise your head during work, you may accidentally collide with fixed hard objects in the working environment (such as beams, pillars or shelves). In such situations, the bumpcap can absorb shocks and reduce the damage caused to the head.
Bump caps cannot replace industrial safety helmets. Their function does not protect against impacts caused by falling objects. On construction sites or in other workplaces where there may be workers or objects falling from heights, the use of light bumpcaps is prohibited. In these environments, certified safety helmets must be worn.
According to test methods specified by European Union standards, when a standard striker weighing 5 kg falls freely from a height of 250 mm and hits the forehead or back of the bumpcap, the cap can protect the user’s head so that the force transmitted to the head does not exceed 15 kN.
According to the same European test methods, when a standard striker weighing 500 g falls freely from a height of 500 mm and hits the bumpcap, the cap can protect the head from being stabbed by the impact cone.
