Bump caps are lightweight head protection products designed to reduce the risk of minor bumps and scrapes in workplaces where the head may accidentally strike fixed objects. Made from durable PE material and designed for use with an optional chin strap, they offer everyday protection and comfortable wear for long shifts.
These caps are suitable for warehouses, logistics operations, assembly lines and maintenance work where there is a risk of hitting beams, shelves or equipment, but where full industrial safety helmets are not required. Manufactured in Taiwan, they provide stable quality and are suitable for international B2B supply.
Bump caps are light in weight and easier to wear for extended periods compared with standard safety helmets. When you move, bend or raise your head during work and accidentally collide with a fixed hard object in the environment (such as beams, pillars or shelves), the bump cap helps absorb shocks and reduce the damage caused to the head.
Bump caps cannot replace industrial safety helmets. Their function does not protect against impacts caused by falling objects. On construction sites or other workplaces where there may be workers or objects falling from height, the use of light bump caps is prohibited. In such environments, certified industrial safety helmets must be worn.
According to test methods specified by European standards, when a standard striker weighing 5 kg falls freely from a height of 250 mm and hits the forehead or back of the bump cap, the cap can protect the user’s head so that the force transmitted to the head does not exceed 15 kN.
According to the same European test methods, when a standard striker weighing 500 g falls freely from a height of 500 mm and hits the bump cap, the cap can protect the head from being stabbed by the impact cone.
